Demonstrator - partner responsible for demonstrating as a pilot the use of the research results in creating/or improving new products, services, processes, etc.
Research end-user - partner having as responsibility to use / apply the (research) results as a pilot after these are produced or at regular intervals during the lifetime of the project
Research provider - partner actively engaged in the research activities of the project either alone or in collaboration with other partners

Applied - Applied research is also original investigation undertaken in order to acquire new knowledge. It is, however, directed primarily towards a specific practical aim or objective
Basic - Basic research is experimental or theoretical work undertaken primarily to acquire new knowledge of the underlying foundation of phenomena and observable facts, without any particular application or use in vie
Experimental development - Experimental development is systematic work, drawing on existing knowledge gained from research and/or practical experience, which is directed to producing new materials, products or devices, to installing new processes, systems and services, or to improving substantially those already produced or installed
