The MAPEER SME project’s website contains useful and interesting information, reports, news and event announcements for its visitors. The website targets different user groups like policy makers, managers or designers of RTDI programmes at national and regional level as well as SMEs and SME stakeholders. In the following lines you can learn what offers the website to the different user groups as well as what kind of information or service you can access trhough the different menu points.
Are you a policy maker or manager/designer of national or regional RTDI programmes?
Our website offers you information on RTDI programmes of the EU member states + BiH. You can browse among 200 national or regional level RTDI programmes and can learn good practises from other countries. The national reports on the RTDI programmes provide you with an overview of the applicable funding schemes in the given countries while from the EU level analysis you can learn more specifically on eachtype of programme clusters and what characteristics they have. Based on this information you know the main characteristics of the successful programmes and allow you to shape your own SME focused programmes bearing in mind the key parameters applied by other programmes. The conclusions of the EU level Comparative Analysis report will also help you to see what are the main break out points where actions are required.
You might gather also important information on the SMEs’ needs and barriers, why do they take part in programmes (their reasons, expected benefits or gained benefits) or what hinders them to take part in such programmes. You can browse through the national reports on the SMEs’ needs and barriers as well as in the EU level report that summarises the responses of around 900 European SMEs and provide therefore an overall picture on the SMEs’ expectations.

The website also gives you the option to make your views known by the European Experts' Panel on Research by SMEs as well as influencing the main parameters of the optimal R&D&I SME-focused programme.
